The electricity industry in the UK has three main stakeholders: generators, distributors and suppliers. The generators generate the electricity, be it renewable or fossil fuel. The distributors distribute the electricity through The National Grid - a big network of towers and cables spread across the country that transports electricity to homes and businesses. Suppliers sell electricity to customers and offer end-users different types of electricity depending on where they buy it from.
As part of a privately owned UK energy group, LoCO2 Energy is both a generator and a supplier which means that we have a direct input into The National Grid. This is our opportunity to switch the balance of the fuel mix within The National Grid in favour of renewable and low carbon electricity and away from fossil fuels. By allowing us to supply you with renewable and low carbon electricity you can help us to achieve this goal.
