Fuel Mix Disclosure

The Electricity (Fuel Mix Disclosure) Regulations 2005 require all electricity suppliers in Great Britain to disclose to their customers and potential customers the mix of fuels used to generate the electricity they supply.

Electricity suppliers can evidence their fuel mix by holding Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGOs) on the 1st of July each year or if they don't hold this evidence they must declare the UK average fuel mix according to the data published by DECC on their website.  As LoCO2 Energy is a new player in the electricity market we weren't able to evidence our supply with REGOs this year so below as instructed you can see the UK average fuel mix.

LoCO2 Energy can show you the actual mix of technologies that make up our different tariffs.  Our Planet and Pocket + tariffs are 100% renewable sourced from different renewable technologies.  Our Pocket Tariff is 20% renewable.  We can also show our customers preference so far, the majority choosing our Pocket tariff.

Next year we'll make sure we have those REGOs as evidence too but the important thing to remember is that all our tariffs are renewable and low carbon!
