Most suppliers will pay the standard rate of 3.1p/kwh for exporting electricity into the National Grid. LoCO2 Energy is different in that we place greater value on this export electricity than other companies if you meet certain criteria outlined below.

We will pay even more if your feed-in tariff export electricity is REGO-accredited and those REGOs are transferred to us.

 

REGOs (or Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin) are a pan-European certificate guaranteeing that each megawatt hour of export electricity you generate came from a genuinely renewable source.

 

REGO applications can be made online to Ofgem. It will usually take around two months for you to receive REGO-accredited status.

 

LoCO2 Energy will use your REGOs to prove that we are buying green electricity from genuinely green sources.
